Math Racer on the beach track: the question 6 × 9 with a numpad below the road
The idea

Solve it to keep racing

A question appears, your child types the answer on the numpad, and the car speeds ahead and collects coins. Fill the trophy bar and the level is done. That is the whole loop, and it is enough to keep kids coming back.

Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with problems generated fresh every time, so no two runs are the same.

Adaptive difficulty

It meets your child where they are

Math Racer watches how fast and how surely each answer comes in. Quick and correct? The next problems get a little bigger. Hesitating or missing? It eases off, quietly, without making a fuss about it.

The goal is to keep your child in the zone where it feels like a challenge, not a wall. Mistakes never cost anything. There is no game over, no timer running out, just the next question.

Or choose yourself

Free arithmetic, your way

Working on the seven times table this week? Switch from adaptive to custom and pick exactly what to practise:

  • Any mix of + − × ÷
  • Numbers up to 10, 20, 50, 100 or 1000
  • Single multiplication tables, doubles, tens, and more
  • Ready-made exercises from preschool to middle school

Each exercise remembers its own settings, so switching between "quick warm-up" and "the hard stuff" is one tap.

Mistakes come back

Wrong answers get a second lap

When a problem is missed, Math Racer does not just move on. The same problem returns a few questions later, and keeps returning until your child has nailed it several times in a row.

It is the way a good tutor works: notice the gap, come back to it, and let it go once it sticks. It is on by default and can be switched off in the settings.

For parents

See how it is going

The progress page shows problems solved, error rate, time per problem and total play time, so you can see at a glance whether the sevens are finally sticking.

Several children on one iPad? Each gets their own player profile with their own progress, cars and tracks. Pick who is playing at start, and the game picks up where that child left off.

The garage

Coins buy cars. Only coins.

Every correct answer earns coins on the track, and coins buy new cars in the garage: tiny ones, racing ones, a burger on wheels. Thirty-seven cars so far, and the pumpkin car is a free gift to everyone who plays during Halloween. Nothing in the garage costs real money, ever.
